This is based on Jessie Rayot’s Octi Throw pattern. I didn’t do the edging on the original pattern and instead made 1/2 squares to fill in the sides of the octogans and edged it with my own design edging.

Edging: Row 1: hdc around with 1 hdc, ch2, 1 hdc in corners of octogans
Row 2: Ch 3, sk 3 hdc, sc in next hdc, ch 3 and repeat all around including corners. May have to fudge to get a sc in the corner ch2
Row 3: Repeat round 2
Row 4: 4 dc, 1 tc, ch2 picot, 4 dc in first ch 3 sp. sc in next ch 3 sp. Continue around
