This pattern is beautifully written. I love that Ysolda includes stitch counts after every round so that you know whether you’re on track. I also love the descriptive photos and links to helpful tutorials.

I used this video tutorial to help with the Disappearing Loop Cast-On. Had to do it a few times before I was happy with the results.

Like many knitters, I found picking up the ear stitches to be fairly challenging. It took a few attempts on each ear before I got it right. The first few rounds were a real booger! Beyond that, it was smooth sailing. As I always forget how to do Kitchener stitch, I found this tutorial to be helpful.

Used this tutorial by Susan B Anderson to learn how to hide the end of the yarn when embroidering facial features. Used this tutorial by TestKitchen45 for embroidering the eyes. Chose not to do French knots as they were just too fiddly and not large/visible enough.
