What a fun, relatively easy pattern. And, it fits so nicely - I love raglan sleeves! My son is tall and slim, so I knit the size 8, but added 3” to the length of the body and sleeves.

I put off attaching the sleeves for months. Not sure why, it was actually super easy and straight forward once I found the tutorial on the Wallaby group.

My striping pattern was inspired by this super cute Wallaby by Bioengiknitter. I had originally planned to add buttons to the chest placket. But, decided that the sweater really didn’t need them as the neck opening was not very large.

3-20-13…Figured I better get this sweater finished so my boy could wear it before our 100* summer heat sets in! He loves it and has decided to forego his coat in favor of this sweater.

2-7-13…Took a little break from this project to finish up some knitted gifts. And, to ponder what color to make the chest stripes. Decided on charcoal gray and midnight blue. Loving this pattern and the construction of the wallaby pocket. So streamlined!

1-22-13…As I tend to knit loosely and this yarn is a bit bulkier than the one called for in the pattern, I went down to a size 6 for the cuff and 7 for the body. So far my gauge is spot on.

1-18-13…My son wanted a custom sweater with yarn dyed to his exact specifications. We had fun dyeing the yarn together!
