I’m very happy to be making a sample for a local farm in Eugene, Appletree Farm.

I’m was sent yarn from three of their Gotland sheep.

This pattern was the perfect choice to showcase and sample these beautiful yarns.

You can easily improvise by working longer or shorter sections as you run out of yarn, it is super easy as well.

This yarn is super springy and wants to keep its shape. I’m loving the sturdiness of it, contrastingly, the halo gives it a delicate look.

I’ve started with Elsa’s then brought in Gilly’s to stripe it. I ran out with only a few stripes shy. Julianna’s is the ribbed section which I worked until It was gone (longer than the pattern states) and then finished with a light edge of Gilly’s again.

I can’t wait to meet these lovely sheep in the spring when I visit the farm.
