INITIAL NOTES:

• Using US6 (for tighter, hopefully more rigid fabric)
• Follow beautiful knit scarf, but cast on 14,with middle two as purl starting on second row
• At row 8 of beautiful knit scarf beginning, start introducing button rules in the central p2 stitches
• Knit rows as for beautiful knit scarf pattern, but with 6 stockinette stitches on EACH SIDE of a two stitch reverse stockinette valley
• Start button hole - on stockinette side k5 of right cable, k2t, ssk, k5 of left cable . Finish row.
• Close button hole - on wrong side p6 for left cable , yo, p6 for right cable. Finish row.
• Finish button hole - on right side k6 for right cable, ptb, pick up another yo from remaining slack of original yo (so creating a second yo on previous row), ktb, k6,finish row
• WS - p6, k2, p6, finish row
• RS - cable 6 with yarn in front, p2, cable 6 with yarn in back
