This pattern is a 1x1 rib, while the previous hat was 2x2 (both in worsted).

I’m thinking for the next hat I might find a pattern that’s two strands of worsted weight held double, to see if I can crank out another hat even faster.

Didn’t do a proper circular cast on that i could snug up -as with the last hat i just did regular cast on, it’s got some tiny gaps, and I’ll fill them in when weaving in the CO tail.

Oh, and I tried the Magic Knot method of joining two strands of yarn here. I’d never used it before trying it out on a couple of these donation hats, and I don’t know if I’ll do it again - at least not where there’s a change in color. It might be ok more for when you run out of a ball of yarn and need to add on the next ball in the same color. I found the little knots sort of stood out and you could see the blips of color. I had hoped they wouldn’t be too noticeable, but Brett zeroed right in on them as soon as he looked at the hat. It WAS a nice, fast method of adding more yarn.
