8/1/2014 - Couldn’t resist starting something in lace weight yarn, plus I’ve been wanting to try the Morticia shawl, AND wanting to try the DyeForYarn stuff….so it seemed like the perfect storm… Here we go!

8/3/2014 - Found some beads I thought would work well with the yarn, oooonly didn’t have enough of any one color. Started with the Miyuki Amethyst, figuring I’d slowly mix in and transition over to some multi-color Czech beads I had. As soon as I started working with the Miyukis I understood what all the fuss was about - much more consistent, higher quality, etc. Soooo Brett talked me out of mixing in lower quality Czech beads in slightly different sizes (and very different colors), and more Miyukis are ordered. So far I knit a full repeat of Chart A using all one color bead, and the first third of the second repeat of Chart A (again, with the matte amethyst beads), and have to stop until the bead shipment arrives.

11/5/2014 - DO OVER!! Had put this down for so long, but also remembered I was finding it to be a little looser than desired, so I ripped it all out, beads flying like pearls the night Bruce Wayne’s parents were murdered (ok, that’s dark), and started over. That actually felt kinda good actually…
