Why knit a sweater for your tree? Because it was cold and I was bored. So I decided to knit my tree a sweater. I used some stashed acrylic yarn I had, and just knit a Knit border on the collar, cuff, and bottom and the rest in stockingknit. It was knit in two pieces, the torso and the sleave and both knit and left flat. I just wrapped them around the tree and sewed it together. After a year and a horrible ice storm, I had to put a dart in it to get it too fit tight again, but other then that its holding up nicly.
