Must use up the rest of the (unknown make) heathery denim and the strange rainbow yarn, that’s lacking any green or blue. Playing yarn chicken all the way. I only hope the denim lasts long enough to finish the headband. I think there’s enough of the cockamamie Rainbow to complete the crown.

Headband completed and two rounds of helix stripes done. At this point, it looks as though there will be enough Rainbow to finish, even if the denim runs out.

The alternative names that Knitting Paradise members have come up with for this incomplete-rainbow yarn are hysterical!

The hat is nearing completion! There won’t be much leftover yarn of either colour, if any of the denim. Happy hat!

With five stitches between markers, the denim blue ran out. The rest will be finished in the ersatz ‘rainbow’.
