Using valuable help and calculations provided by Emilia (juliayork) from two years ago. I am knitting the Large based on my numbers, but I have a feeling I will not need that much Chart A repeats as the fabric would stretch anyway.

Convinced by fellow knitters that this pattern is a great way to show off the wonderful long colour transitions of Scheepjes Whirl.

I did only 13 repeats of the sleeve because I didn’t want the cuffs to be too loose. The Whirl blocked out just fine although not as much as it would have if it was wool.

I did one half repeat more of the lace in the body before starting the ribbing so that i can use up as much of the yarn as I could.

The hem was a killer but I was motivated by the fact that the end was near. I soaked and blocked out the cardigan without pins or wires. It softened up even more after blocking. The lace didn’t open as much as it would with wool but the colours really carry the garment through.

I have worn it twice since and I know i will wear it more often than my wool cardigans.
