I adore the simple elegance of this jumper. I am sure it will get a lot of wear this autumn, once the temperatures are a little less summery.

I particularly like the solution for the underarm holes in the sleeve cast-on, a technique I will use a lot in future. I always learn something new on these projects, and the way I find them through projects I am currently working on is fascinating. Knitting with Ravelry patterns is a constant voyage of discovery.

On my own specific modifications: I used an i-cord bind-off for the sleeves as I had done (and liked a lot) per instructions on a previous project. For the body edge I used the twisted columns rib which didn’t turn out quite as tight as it maybe should have been but I’m still happy with the end result, having a little subtle, a bit more ornate detail in the otherwise deliberately plain piece.
