A tricky pattern, but a fun challenge.

I wish my skeins matched better. Oh the joys of buying hand-dyed yarn online woman-shrugging Even though I’m alternating skeins, I’m not loving the drastic changes between them. Sometimes as I’m going, all I’m seeing are stripes sweat_smile Hopefully, I’ll love it when it’s done.

Finished first sleeve tonight!
My sleeve was 14” by the time I got to the 11th decrease round, but I decided to continue on as written and start the ribbing after the 12th decrease and 8th or 16th round of chart. I like the overall length.

Finished knitting up the second sleeve while recovering from gum surgery. The sweater will be blocked this week and hopefully I’ll feel well enough this weekend to take some nice photos outside.

Now that it’s done and on my body, I really love it. The yarn is amazingly soft and the body of the sweater is airy and drapy. The cables look FIERCE. My boyfriend said they remind him of armor or chainmail. It feels amazing to wear.

If I were to make this again, I would use a solid colored yarn, maybe paired with a mohair like other testers used. I would also pick a lighter tone, like cream or light blue.
