Wow, I really dislike knitting lace on the WS of the work… but the finished fabric is so beautiful. I’m not giving up!

Finished the body and shoulders at the airport and working on sleeve one during my trip to SF. I tried it on and felt the sleeve opening was a bit big, so I’m decreasing right away instead of knitting half an inch as instructed.

Finally finishing first sleeve today.

SLEEVE NOTES:

• Skip 1/2” of stockinette near underarm and decrease immediately.
• Decrease every 6th round (3/4”) 17 times total.
• Ribbing: 28 rounds.

Finished knitting the second sleeve today!

When I try it on pre-blocked, the sleeves are a tad tighter than I expected. We’ll see what blocking does to them, because I definitely didn’t block a swatch… and I didn’t knit a swatch Risk taker, rule breaker!

Adding a late note to share that I love the finished sweater! I keep it close to my desk at home and throw it on whenever I’m chilly or need to look nice for a Zoom call. The fuzz isn’t too much for me; It doesn’t make me feel itchy or red-eyed as other mohair fibers I’ve worn. I even convinced a co-worker to use this mohair for the first time and they love it too.
