I unraveled a very ugly store-bought sweater gifted to me one Christmas. The yarn is insanely soft and with two strands held together, matches gauge for this pattern, so let the knitting begin! The only issue is the yarn is rather pilly, so I may not get as much wear out of this sweater as I’d like.
I have no idea if I have enough yarn for the full sweater. I plan to knit the body and figure out sleeve length on what I have left over.

I finished the body, front and back last night, plus the shoulder seaming.
Instead of working the last two rows of each side to prep for a kitchener stitch neckline, I decided to skip straight to seaming the shoulders, then bound off the neck sts in pattern.

One sleeve done, one half way through. I will have plenty of yarn to finish the sleeves as written in pattern.
I hope to have this finished by end of this week. It’s been cold and foggy in SF this summer and I look forward to wearing this fuzzy number around town.

All done! I love how the yarn feels when I wear this sweater, but it’s already starting to pill. Oh well, I knew this would be a risk when I was unraveling the original sweater. I still love how warm and cozy I feel when I wear it, so I’ll definitely be sporting this sweater this Fall, at least around the house

I decided to wear the sweater to work today since my coworkers saw me working on it during my lunch breaks. They all gave really nice compliments on it
