Magic ring, cast on 12 stitches.
I don’t like the crossbar design on the crown so I did evenly spaced increases instead.
Place 6 markers and increase front and back every time you come to a marker. Only increase every alternate row every alternate row.
Increase to ~ 150 stitches total (25 stitches / segment )
Or, when diameter of the crown is 7” stop increasing.

Knit in the round endlessly until the hat is long enough
Ending with 162 Stitches????? Or 27 stitches /segment.
Decrease 1 stitch at each stitch marker every round
