Another project to make use of the Emma Squares I’ve been making for years.

These are the pastel colors I didn’t choose for the pillow. It’s too bad the Emma Square pattern didn’t work with these 10g minis because I didn’t choose colors deliberately and these wouldn’t be the ones I’d have gone with for this. Or for the pillow, for that matter.

However, my square is a multiple of 3, not a multiple of 3 plus 2 as the pattern calls for. I could add an extra single crochet on the first round, but that would put 2sc, 2ch, 2sc into a 2ch corner, which might be a little crowded and make it ruffle. I’ll try it with one square and see how it goes.

That worked fine and the first row of squares is joined.

The second row of 5 squares is joined and I’ve done a round of single crochet around the entire thing. I’ll use it up in my master bedroom sitting area/craft nook, along with the pillow I made with the same squares.
