Finished at 11:30 PM on New Year’s Eve. Today I’ll throw it in the washer and dryer to soften it up, then pack it up to send to my friend who is going through a very tough time.

In the end I used 3.5 cakes on the body, then another 1/4 of the cake on the border. For the border, I just did a round of SC then a round of HDC in Antique White, then three rounds of Moss Stitch in the Cinnamon Swirl Cake. This was inspired by a Daisy Farm Crafts block stitch blanket border, but with moss stitch instead of just SC as the last round to blend the colors better since this is self striping yarn and to use a bit more of it up.

For some reason, I thought I only had 3 cakes when I started this. If I had it to do over again, I would have made the blanket wider and used all the Cinnamon Swirl.
