This is the square I found the other day to make better use of the remaining 60-odd mini skeins of Catona. The first picture shows a final round of SC but I actually frogged that to keep them to 4” since the tops of the footrests I’m covering are 16”.

I’m done with 18 of 32 squares, though I do have to try to fix a few that have too many stitches on the last side.

8 more squares complete, to make 26. Tomorrow is Saturday, so hopefully I can finish the last 6 and maybe get started on the joining.

I have finished the squares for both covers and joined the first one. I’ve also made sides with moss stitch in black on the first one that I think are long enough.

I’ll use hot glue to try to get the edges of the covers as square as possible (the pleather on the sides has come un-stitched), and I’ve ordered some 1” Velcro with adhesive on the non-hook&loop side to attach the crochet to the pleather sides. Hopefully it will work and not be too thick; that way the crochet can be removed.

The covers are finished and came out even better than I expected! I will add photos tomorrow.

The original two test squares I made don’t really work with the color scheme I ended up going with so they will become coasters instead.
