Just a test of this pattern to see what I thought. Clever and very easy! The motif was 16g so I’ll be able to get 5 from each 100g skein. With the final round of border color it weighs 19g. It measures 8” with the final round.
This will be a good use of that scratchy Just Yarn off white since it is just for the last round/joins (I won’t use it for the last rounds of the border, so my border will be different from the pattern.)
I won’t be able to reuse this test motif because it’s not in one of the colors I plan to use. (Silly me, I was on autopilot and cut off and wove in ends, so I can’t frog it.)

Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran Red Wine - 2 skeins
Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran Tomato Red - 2 skeins
Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran Blood Orange - 1.5 skeins
Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran Mandarin Orange - 1.5 skeins
Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran Coffee Bean - 1.5 skeins
Stylecraft Special Aran Saffron - 1.5 skeins
With CC1, Red Wine, make 8 full motifs (was Blue Agate)
With CC2, Mandarin Orange, make 7 full motifs and 2 half motifs (was Boulder Opal)
With CC3, Coffee Bean, make 7 full motifs and 1 half motif (was Yellow Jasper)
With CC4, Tomato Red, make 7 full motifs and 1 half motif (was Garnet)
With CC5, Saffron, make 6 full motifs and 2 half motifs (was Coral)
With CC6, Blood Orange, make 6 full motifs and 2 half motifs (was Brown Agate)
I have lots of all of the colors except for the Saffron, of which I have two skeins which should be plenty, I just won’t be able to use it in the border.
