A while ago, Corinne asked me to make her a shopping bag to hold her baguettes because when she went to the farmer’s market, she’d buy a baguette from one stall and it would hang out the top of her market bag, bend, and sometimes fall out. She described a cross between a market bag and a yoga mat bag.

I started with the first part of the base of the Sakura Market Bag (so it would match the other bag I made her), then made up an alternating mesh and 3 DC/CH body, ending in the 3 DC/CH through which I threaded a chain to tie it closed. I just did a long strap in SC so you can put it over your shoulder. Voila! Baguette Bag.
