I did the first 14 rows of this today and the yarn is super nice and squishy! As usual, I had to go down two hook sizes to get gauge and my height number is larger than it should be, but given the unstructured nature of this sweater, it should be fine.

I’m making the S/M size for my petite daughter, but I bought enough yarn for the L/XL just because I know I often go over the recommended amount.

I’ve just finished the body rectangle (most of which was made in the car going to and from UMass Amherst for my younger daughter’s Accepted Students Day) and I’m trying to determine if it is the right size.

Guage: 8 rows of dc = 4”, 8 sets of (1 dc and 1 ch) = 4”

Small: 54 ch1sp x 71 ch1sps = 27” x 35.5” using the gauge indicated above. (It would be nice if these numbers were actually in the pattern.)

My height is only 25.5” (1.5” smaller than it should be), but that’s OK because my daughter is only 5’ 3” tall. My width is 37” (1.5” bigger than it should be) but I think that is also fine. So, on to the seaming to create the armholes, then adding the sleeves.

Getting back to this after finishing my father’s Aran Sampler throw. Katrina’s birthday is Monday but I’ve just finished the sleeves. She wanted a longer sleeve, so they are 20x21 chain spaces (rather than 20x18).

I did the cuff a little different from the pattern -- I did sc in both stitches and chain spaces.
