I’ve measured my hand its 8” … and i’ve a day at home to make a start .. hard on the heels of the knee high colour work socks .. but there you go .. ready to go again.

these are so much fun, and I’ve had extra non-work time this week with looking after ill-family, so they have knitted up really fast. I’m part way thru the last lining as we speak and I’m planning to add acorns from this tutorial

all done - sans the acorns ….
now it has acorns - 3rd August 2010!
I tried to knit the acorns in the round .. but honestly they are more successful if knitting as two separate pieces and then stitched together, they have a better shape that way, more acorn’y. My first 2 were not quite right, but acorns 3 and 4 were good enough to use.
