A friend has commissioned me to make a hat for her niece. Apparently she has a large head so I am making the adult size for her. To do the stripe, I did 7 rows of v-stitch in the main colour, 3 rows of v-stitch in the contrasting colour, and 2 rows of v-stitch in main colour before doing the final row of scallops. This is a very quick pattern - the hat itself I finished in only a couple of hours.

In order to make the join less noticeable, I slip stitched into the stitch AFTER the starting ch 3.

Each hat takes about 25g of main colour and about 10g of contrasting colour(s).
