Frogged two projects from 2012 that were just way too small and tight-fitting for my current self. (But whoa, was my tension perfect back then!) The yarn weight is very similar, and the variegated yarn has bits of purple that actually make this a great match. I chose the Le Pouf pattern for its blocky shape and round neckline (and because it’s free). The sleeves will be shorter because of how much yarn I’ve got, and with this being a thicker yarn I’ll have to go for a different effect than this pretty fade. I’ll probably alternate rows of clour #1 and colour #2 for a bit and then switch to colour #2.

Used my shortest cable for the neckline and switched to DPNs for the sleeves.

5 cm of rib at the hem. Tried the WIP on several times to get the neckline right before binding off. (About 3 cm of rib.) Weighed the remaining yarn - 55 g per sleeve, tried to get the amounts of variegated and purple about the same. I’ll probably make the sleeves different, though - in order to make up for any inconsistencies. So various widths and numbers of stripes it is!
