Notes

The freezing cold temperatures and snow have been piling in from the East for over a week now and I need something to warm up my cold floor.

Made a small blanket (61 tr sts wide by 50 rows) and then turned it into a mat by slip stitching the bottom to the top to make it twice as thick and hopefully warmer.

With join placed in the middle on the underneath, added 13 tassels through both layers on alternate rows to each side (each made with 14 strands of yarn).

Even though it’s squishy and warm under foot, I’m thinking about undoing a few tassels to put something else in between the two layers of crochet to warm it up even more.

I haven’t trimmed the tassels to give them the same blunt edge as each other, I quite like the ‘shaggy’ look :-)
