I received a bag of sock mini skeins (20 yards each) from my neighbor for Christmas. I started making these socks in February when I went to a 3 day conference. I almost finished one sock while I was there. I showed the finish sock to foster Grandma Virginia at work (turning 78 in June 2012) and she got the biggest kick out of it. I had her try it on and it fit her. I told her I would give her the finished socks. I didn’t work on it for awhile when I was busy making my frozen leaves shawl so once the shawl was done I picked it up again and finished the second sock.

In the second sock I used leftover yarn from the pattern I designed, Jen in Breck the shawl, http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Karen1343/frozen-leaves I made and Karen Lynn’s 5th street KAL I sock I made.
