I love these gloves! This is a very well designed and well written glove pattern. The way the almond stitch is incorporated into the design is nifty. I love how the thumb gusset is made and how the fingers grow out of the almond pattern.

The instructions are clear, precise and detailed. It’s a little slow going because it’s a twisted rib variation, but very satisfying to knit.

I used Koigu KPM which has a little variation since it’s hand dyed. For the next pair I make, I’ll used a completely solid yarn to even better show off the almond pattern.

Total yarn used for gloves: 76 grams. I also knit a test gauge. I still have yarn left over, so two skeins of Koigu are plenty.

I knit the smallest size (XXS-XS). My hand circumference is 17” right below the fingers. This glove fits well, but since it’s so stretchy, it would also fit someone with a bigger hand.

Did 16 rows of almond for the hand portion.

My next pair, I will knit a shorter cuff.

December 5 Progress report:

I’ve knit into the hand section. I’m loving knitting this, even though it’s slow going and my increases look a little sloppy. When I try on the glove it evens out a bit. I absolutely adore the way the pattern is worked into the thumb gusset. Twisted rib section of the cuff has some ladders. I’ll try to fix this on the next glove by rotating the stitches. I used a cable cast on to close off the hole, except i ended up dropping the last one, so i picked that up as a backward loop. It feels stable when i try it on.
