1,000 Yards of 2 Ply Hand Spun and Dyed Sea Island Yarn. I combined 2 yarns together so it is now a 4 ply

This is a 2-ply hand spun and hand dyed fingering weight- light sport weight yarn. It is 1,000 yards. The silky and soft Sea Island Cotton has extra-long fibers and is the most luxurious strand of yarn in the world. This extra long staple carded cotton sliver was grown from “Sea Island” seeds, but grown right here in the fertile Gila Valley of Arizona.. It is the finest of merino in the cotton world. This yarn is a 1,000 yards and will make a lovely summer top or a very beautiful shawl. It is not itchy and anyone with wool allergies will appreciate Sea Island Cotton as a garment not to the skin. I will wind each skein in to a ball. The sock blanks will have no kinks. It has been rinsed many times but may still have bleeding. I enclosed color catchers to help with that. The first several washes please do not include with other laundry. After that, you can wash with other laundry and put in the dryer. It is not like wool and will not felt.

None of my beautiful soft handspun has sold. So I plan to use it all.

3/15: I have tried several times to do the lace an have failed. I am finding I rather do stockinette or do my own design. I dumped Seawater, which looked easy, as a result of the same issue.

3/21: Yea, success w/o lace. Making size 34.75

4/1: 6” done need to do about 4 more before I divide for the sleeves

4/5: 88 stitches for back and front 6” for raglan
7/26: Still working on sweater. I am doing the increases for the body every 5th row.

10/22 Finally got back to this.

05/2024: Finally done. I doubled the yarn again and b/o with a purl. May frogg back or leave it. Right now I am happy this is done. I have NO big projects. YEA
