This sweater has been on my mind for many months. I recently realized it would be the perfect pattern for some yarn I’d purchased a few months ago. I love the long version with short sleeves (the purple pattern sample) but when I showed my husband, he said, “You’re going to make it with long sleeves, right? You’re always cold.”

Going along smooth as butter. LOVing this project.

Since there are no seams, and no finishing edge (i.e. button bands), after the second skein ran out I switched skeins at the transition from St. st to lace on the back or fronts. This allowed me to hide the ends better, and not on the smooth edge.

Finished with nine skeins: the collar takes one, the body about six, and then one for each sleeve.

ETA: This sweater gets a lot of wear. SO WARM and comfy. It does tend to fall off the shoulders, sometimes I wear it with a shawl pin. The yarn is a teensy bit pilly but as I said, it gets a lot of wear.
