From a kit
-First time in, I started with the wrong yarn as Color A. The order of instructions is a bit confusing. Directions specify which is which, but starts with Color B.
-There are two different names on this pattern/kit. Tracking down the other name leads to a different designer - with very clear instructions with PHOTOS. Therefore, I’m also linking the Jewel Dragon pattern to this project. If you read the comments on this pattern page, you’ll realize that perhaps not everything is above board. I will concede that the yarn lends very nicely to this pattern.
-It is a ton of non-knitting fiddly stuff - moving sts (you can’t “move them to the other end” like you would with a normal I-cord), and picking up sts, and binding off, and starting again.

14 Sept ‘18: there was not enough yarn for color B, so I am awaiting another skein to work the last six scales.
