I faved and purchased this pattern a few months back, and was reminded of it again when I saw knitorious’s version.

I noticed that my lavender was coming into bloom, ready for drying, so I cut a bunch. Shortly thereafter, I went on a roadtrip with my family, which seemed like the perfect time to knit a special little something. I intend to make several more for Christmas gifts.

I did learn a new cast on, the Turkish. Since I’d read through the pattern ahead of time, I knew this would be a new skill and took my Cast On, Bind Off book on the trip, as well. Great new CO, will definitely use it the next time I knit socks toe up.
Per another knitter’s suggestion, I blocked it on a credit card, which was exactly the right size.
I think the pattern is well written and easy for a seasoned knitter, but the tiny needles and lace pattern might be a bit challenging for a new knitter.

Looking forward to making more for the holidays / birthdays coming up, and filling with lavender dried from my garden, and vanilla bean bits left over from extract and vanilla sugar.
