Notes

A sweater for Marlous!

Gauge
Getting stitch gauge on 3,5 mm needle (instead of 4 mm). After the third colorband I continued with a 3,75 mm. The stitch gauge is ok, but the row gauge is 32 instead of 28. So I will add some extra stockinette rounds between the textured and colored bands.

Body
After finishing the last colorwork of the pattern, the body was by far not long enough. So I searched for some 12 stitch fairisle motifs and added a simple one as 5th colorband after an extra texture band. Italian bindoff for the hem, such a beautiful method.

Needles
Pattern A also on 3,5 mm
Stockinette St + color work 3,5 mm (later 3,75 mm)
Ribbing 3,25 mm.
Sleeves 4 mm (and 3,75 mm for pattern A)

I made a mistake in the first colorwork pattern, but I will leave it that way. It is strange but I completely overlooked it and only noticed it when someone else mentioned it…

Sleeves
Partly because my sweater is a lot less oversized than in the pattern, I have to make the sleeves a lot longer. Adding 13 roundsof pattern B after the last colorwork band and adding the same colorwork band as in the body. I ended up with 74 sts after the decreases and knitted every 3rd and 4th stitch together in the round before the ribbing (56 sts). Italian bindoff at the cuffs, so beautiful.
