I am 7 years old and I live in Russia. Yes, yes, in Russia. You never knew that giraffes live in Russia, honestly speaking – me too!

I’m looking for a friend; probably a female, but male would be OK too. It is very difficult to find one here especially if your skin color is blue.

A few months ago I started to think, “What could I do to find another unusual giraffe in the world?” and I decided to turn into a crochet pattern. Isn’t it a brilliant idea? No? Never mind!

I know you are a very good crafter and will crochet me an unusual friend.

Skill level: Intermediate

Skills required:
Crochet in rounds
Increasing (2sc in 1st)
Decreasing (sc2tog)
Single crochet 

Slip stitch
Double crochet

Measurements:
• Approx.
Height - 16 inches ( 40 cm) using 1.25 mm hook and Fingering / 4 ply yarn

Materials required:
Hook
Yarn
Needle (long).
Stitch marker.
Single core copper PVC electrical wire 3 mm diameter
Polyester fiberfill.
2 small black beads for eyes.
Thin medical plaster tape
Pliers for cutting and bending wire.
Weights for hooves (Polypropylene filling beads)

I use USA terminology for my pattern (Don’t worry if your used to UK terms all the differences are explained in the pattern). This pattern with many photos and step by step instructions.
