Threading

Took me about 5 hours to threat 450 ends in pattern repeats (less than 100 ends per hour) but taking time was worth it: pattern first time right

An other 2 hours for threading the 40/10 reed with 2 ends per dent

The mirrored treadeling pattern feels ergonomic and runs smoothly

Selvage

I decided to keep the pattern to the selvages and not use floating selvage or plain wave. I expected to get a wavy selvage according to the pattern and it worked out fine as long as I managed not to manipulate the salvage. Instead I optimised the handling of the weft including angle and tension without touching the woven fabric.

Weft

The soft grey green neutralises the warp colour, weak contrast. Therefore pattern decently comes out.

Das schöne geschenkte Garn hat mich beim letzten Strang mächtig geärgert. Der erste Strang war okay, der zweite war an drei Stellen unterbrochen, naja. Der dritte war eher eine Zumutung, nach 20Unterbrechung habe ich aufgehört zu zählen. Letztlich füllte das längste Stück eine Drittel Spule und etliche 1-3m Stückchen habe ich übrig. Die letzten 50cm des Schals sind zusammen gestückelt und nach der Mindestlänge von 2,1m hatte ich ziemlich Frust und wollte das ganze nur noch schnell vom Webstuhl runter haben! So, der Frust musste mal raus.
