Someone else made the squares. I assembled them.

Newborn or Recieving blanket size: 40”x40”

  1. Laid out (16) 10-inch garter knit squares (4x4).

  2. Crochet Slip Stitch border around each square.

  3. From backside, do an invisible join of the squares as laid out in step #1. The backside join looks like a nice zig-zag pattern. The front side looks like a nice solid line of stitches lined up side-by-side.

  4. Back-Border: Use a FPDC double crochet border where the bars are made from the slip stitches. 3 FPDC in each corner.

  5. Front-Border: Turn and go around again so there is a double thickness border. Go into the sane slip stitch bar as a FPDC. For each FPDC complete, drop the top loop and pull thru the top loop on the corresponding Back Border FPDC stitch.
