Began January, 2021. Got all swatches and SIS (Swatch Information Sheets) knitted & blocked.. Answered about half of the questions. Got notebook set up & all swatch tags made.

Very much enjoying the process. Most of it is well within my capabilities, but I’m definitely learning a few things! The seed stitch swatch kicked my butt (holes!) and it took 3 tries to get it right. Turns out I’m not the know-everything knitter I thought I was, lol!

May, 2021, accident with injuries. No work on this for the rest of the year.

January, 2022. Determined to finish! Completed all the reading, research & note taking for the blocking report. Started rough draft, working on it about an hour a day.

January 21, 2022. Blocking report is done & dusted…yay!

All done. Mailed March 8, 2022. Now to await results & see how many re-submits I’ll need to do.

May, 2022. Mom has strokes, in rehab all summer, nursing home shopping for her, managing her finances. Traveling back & forth to Richmond (2 hrs from me) a lot.

Fall, 2022. Still struggling with back pain. Compression fracture repair surgery in late August. Physical therapy & chiropractic treatments ongoing. Hard to concentrate (pain meds) & difficult to work at computer for more than a few minutes at a time. Then the holidays…will I ever get this done?

January, 2023. Determined to finish!! Working on it.

February 3, 2023. Finished re-submissions & mailed them off for evaluation. Some requested changes to the blocking report, 2 swatches to re-do, several questions to answer more fully, several references to provide. Not too bad. Hoping I’ll hear results soon.

February 8, 2023. I was notified today that I passed Level 1…that was quick! Yay!! Still a few comments in areas that I need to improve so I will be paying extra attention to those in the future. Will be applying for Level 2 soon.
