I am thrilled to be asked to test this pattern of Frank’s!
The bonus of starting to test this pattern behind several other testers is that the missing components have already been discovered, fixed and are now being retested by myself and several others.
I’ve chosen to do mine in 4 colours following Frank’s recommended colour changes but I can see that it can very easily lend itself to more or less.
I started on 25/5/15 and the pattern is very easy to follow so I was able to finish the first part of the pattern by the weekend having done it around my working hours.
The second part was started 31/5/15 and I should know better than to try and read a pattern and crochet post night shift! I swear I completed rounds 38 and 39 five times (and only ONE of those was because of the glaringly obvious colour difference in the yarn!).
Part two is now completed as of 10/6/15. I’m really liking how it’s turning out and can’t wait for part three to see where it goes!
Started on part three 11/6/15 and have flown through rounds 51-54. It was smooth sailing until I hit rows 61-62. Every pattern has a dreaded section and for me it was these two rows. I admit to being time poor at this point but to take a week to do two rows - even for me - is a bit ridiculous! Definitely need to be able to concentrate on these two rows to be able to avoid having to frog countless times like I did. Even then, I still found mistakes that I had to mend on the run!
Anyway, part three is now complete as of 4/7/15. Gotta buy more yarn as I have used up my stash supply.
