Added one stitch to each leg of pattern making pattern 26 st repeats instead of 24. Also, added a full pattern repeat and one extra stitch on each edge of blanket.
CO 159 stitches (6 pattern repeats of 26 sts (156)+ 1 (157) + 2 extra stitches on each end =159).
Slipped the first stitch of each row knit-wise and purled the last stitch of each row (probably won’t do this on the next one). Knit each color for 12 rows instead of 10.

Slip first st as if to knit, k1, ssk, k10, yo, (k1, yo, k11, md, k11, yo) repeat brackets until 15 sts remain, k1, yo, k10, k2tog, k1, p1
Followed instructions as written for wrong side with exception of slip first st as if to knit and purled last st

To help prevent curling on each end, I knit the first two rows in garter stitch, the next two rows in garter stitch but following pattern then repeated this in reverse at end of blanket.
