STOCKING
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/advent-garland-6-...
I don’t have 5 double pointed needles and can only do round using 3 double pointed needles (2 have stitches on and 1 is to knit, you always have 1 empty needle)
On another project I did this stocking pattern

Orange and white is from the above pattern using pattern A for some reason when I was sewing it on the bottom I went though the KFB (row 2) on mine it was 2 stitches that stood out more so i went through both on each side, then around the toe. I like this because it stands up

Follow pattern till Row 6 then do the below then follow pattern Row 8 will now be Row 24
With some changes Row 6 to 21 is Stockinette stitch starting with Knit ending with Purl

PAPER CHAIN
w.ravelry.com/patterns/library/advent-garland-8-paper-chain
You could just do I-cord for this
21/2 inches or as long as it fits another one though it and with a gap and sew ends together. The I-cord fits around my index finger.

I did I-cord in white its about 2 1/2 inches. Weave in cast off end. Keep the cast on need it for the loop.
In Red push through the I-cord and wrap it around the I-cord, Pull Red wool to bend the top. Tie off and weave in and cut. Now with the White (cast on end) thread it in I-cord to the top where you want the loop weave into few stitches till the is tight then weave in ends
