I got some knitting needles from my charity shop in town and needed something to put them in, So I thought I knit a holder
The pattern is cast on 30, Knit 60 Rows cast off
The tie I picked up 5 stitches (middle) and knitted about 20 Rows I then rolled it holding needles and where it ended I knew where I had to pick up 5 stitches knit 20 Rows, cast off
Put needles in roll and tie and thats it you now have a needle holder.

I used Grey wool and on some pictures it looks Brown

If you need it to be longer to fit more needles in just cast on more.
If you want it to cover all the needles just knit more Rows
You can knit tie in Middle or one at the top and bottom or how ever you want it.
