Gauge is obtained on US 7; US 9 is for binding off only.

I consider these intermediate only because of the cast on method and doing two at a time. Otherwise it’s really quite simple.

These are meant for mid-calf or knee boots. Ankle boots require a narrower circumference and about half the length. I will be making an ankle pair in this color once I’ve finished the 4 regular sized pairs.
