Yay! Yarn arrived today; now to make center-pull balls. Fun stuff.
Making gauge swatch. Trying 16” - US 10.5, might need US 13, will see shortly.
I think the 10.5 looks good. 4 sts/in = 96 sts for 24” circumference. Going to cast on 100 per usual. This will be a Snood, width will be 3 skeins wide. Actual measurement tbd.
Actual cast-on 110 sts = 27.5” circumference.
Final Height: tbd

Well, it was moving along so quickly and well that I oopsed and didn’t see it until about 8 rounds later. So now I’m unknitting to where the oops first started. sigh. I absolutely must fix all errors on this particular cowl because of how much it cost and the quality of the yarn — both deserve perfection. So does my sister. But the yarn moreso
Okay, so once I overcame the sadness of having to unknit and settled into doing it, I found it’s still relaxing…so…. I placed a Red stitch marker at the location of the first oops so I don’t get carried away and wind up unkintting the entire thing! .
If it was just as small area I probably would have ignored the mistake, but it was an entire round causing everything to look “off”. It was just too much to let it slide.
Okay, back to it…almost there.
I really do love this yarn. It doesn’t split or fray as you knit, or in this case, unknit. If you hesitate to buy it because of the price, you really should treat yourself to at least 2 hanks. It’s worth every penny.
Phew, all fixed and nearly caught up to where I discovered the error. Not very productive but at least my anxiety about the evil mistake has been tamed and I can now knit knowing it can still achieve perfection status.

I might not need the third skein of either yarn. I may only need a tiny bit of a second skein for the Pashmina. I’ll use two full skeins of the Vintage. The Pashmina has a lot more yardage. Dunno if I’ll return the unused yarn or make a scarf for me ..the knitters’ dilemma.

The goal is a 27” x 27” snood. Looks like I’ll need about half of the third skein of Vintage and about a third of the second skein of Pashmina.
2.5 skeins Vintage
1.33 skeins of Pashmina
We’ll see.

Woke up this morning proud of my progress to the stage of “almost finished”. Then upon closer examination after my morning wake up routine I found another booboo. Time to unknit again. Glad I like this yarn, otherwise this would be far more frustrating. Oh well, unknitting is still better than no knitting. Thankfully it’s only about 8 rounds again (seems like my lucky number), could be far worse.
Fixed and all caught up, now to make some progress again. Phew
9:37 pm. 24” long. 3.5” remaining.

Hand-washed to remove excess dye and dye odor. Used Wrapture with Jasmine Oil. I think it smells nice, a bit strong — that should fade. I hope it doesn’t stink to my sister.
