Finished! I am so happy with this shawl. I think this is the most cohesive of all the MKAL designs so far, and though I missed some of the wild and crazy (will anything ever top the shrimps from Shawlography?), I feel like this is a beautiful and wearable piece. It was also an interesting knit, incorporating two different stitch patterns that I had never seen before.
Finished size after blocking: 90 x 30 inches (229 x 76 cm).
These colors are magic together but the camera just cannot capture them properly. Even with the help of Photoshop, I can’t do them justice.
I held the WM Lace double, which is the equivalent of a heavy sport weight. It made a lovely squishy fabric with all the textured stitches.
The silver sparkle is DROPS Glitter. I didn’t include it in the notebook entry because I forgot to weigh it beforehand and it’s on a heavy spool.
I used the Clue 1 modifications designed and so generously written out by missblane. I really liked the look of it, and it was approved by Stephen as a fresh start.

Wound 3.5 skeins of WM Lace! That’s a lot of winding!

I’ve just ordered mohair and silver thread, and I have beads in my stash ready to go. Gonna be a ostentatious overkill extravaganza and I am here for it! I’m high as a kite on MKAL anticipation. It’s the Westknits Effect!
Tammy the Boss Lady has approved the colors (although perhaps not all the add-ons).

discarded my 3/4 finished original Clue 1 and started over with the missbane version, which I really like a lot.
