In a masterful act of enabling, it was suggested that I needed the yellow/yellow MIss Babs set (when I already had a set of colors I really liked) for my own safety--to knit a nice bright shawl for visibility when walking the dogs at night. Clearly a necessity and not frivolous at all. (Although this isn’t hi-vis yellow; it’s delicate shades of gold.) Thanks, sparkli!

This year’s MKAL was such an entertaining knit that I didn’t feel bored at all the second time around. In fact, I feel a little bereft now that they’re both done. I’m already looking forward to next year!

Mods:
As with my pink galaxy, I bound off after the first MC stripe of the second part of Section 10. Then I added an applied i-cord in the MC to both wings and wingtips. I think it pulls it all together nicely. I used a little i-cord machine to make the i-cord “worms”.

This was my first time knitting with Miss Babs Yummy 2-ply, and it is a truly delicious yarn. Soft yet springy, it makes every stitch a pleasure. I only wish I had room in my stash for lots more of it!
