2/23 finished! Mitts used 57 gms of second skein.
WIP Dancing event number 2153
2/20 made second cuff in preparation for the final clue tomorrow.
2/17 clue 2 complete. Right mitt photos up. Thumb opening kind of a mess, but not horrible for first knit mitt. Hope left matches, lol. Going to work on some crochet for a bit this week and get cuff done before clue 3 arrives on Friday.
2/15 received clue 2 for mittens. Fumbled my way nearly to the end of the clue and then after clarifying with the designer, realized I had totally messed it up. Tried frogging back to the beginning of the clue but was unable to pick up my stitches and had to return to square one. But it’s all good practice and learning experience. I redid all of clue one today and dove back in to clue two before stopping for the night. Tomorrow is another day and I have until next Friday to get through this one and make the cuff for the second mitt if I want.
2/14 finished first clue first cuff.
2/13 finally got brave enough to start the mittens. Have included photos of cast on + and a shot of the completed first chart of clue one. Onward!
1/31 finished my first ever knit hat! First time working on dpns and while I felt like I suddenly had eight hands and they were ALL in the way, I’m glad I’m finally over that first-time hurdle. I love it! Hat used 73 gms of one skein.
Bring on the mittens!
1/26 completed clue two. Had to do a little surgery while working the second to last row when I discovered I did one too many k2tog in previous rows. Didn’t want to tink back entire row to get to it so dropped the k2tog and turned it into two knit stitches in row below so I’d have correct number of stitches… Big deal for this noob.
This clue included kf&b and k2tog in addition to knit and purl.
