At the halfway point in my yarn and I’m currently on or about row 30 in the pattern…
10/19 - Have reached the Edging. Am nervous, lol. Had to clip the yarn to start this part. HATE that. And it requires so much counting! ;o) My brain is too fried from sneezing and so on to concentrate to get all of my counts right on the bottom edging row so I’m putting it down for the afternoon. I need something complete count-free for today.
10/20 - once I got the initial border round on, it seems to be smooth sailing. Much to get done today, though. Done playing with yarn for now. Speaking of yarn, this is the loveliest color ever. Also feels smooshy and wonderful to the touch. Love it in every way.
10/22 - finished with 5gm of yarn to spare! On to weaving ends. Love this for its smooshability and softness and the color is amazing. Light blocking but may wait a few days and enjoy it as is. Favorite ever.
10/25 - SO MANY PINS to block this baby. I didn’t even have enough. I’ve never needed so many pins! LOL If you think you have enough? Buy more. I pinned most of it out, and then waited until that was dry, moved from the finished end to the not finished end, spraying to wet it again and finished THAT side. It is drying now and will be ready for final photos tomorrow.
I’ve decided to gift this to my Godmother/Aunt. My mom’s youngest sisters are both in very poor health, but it is my Godmother who has cancer throughout her body (found only two months ago during a routine mammogram but it was already in her organs and bones by then). She is going through treatment and it is really ravaging her body. I hope this will keep her warm and give her some comfort.
Pre-blocking size: 19 inch down spine
52 inch along neck
