Notes

Edited: THis pattern is now in Ravelry and off the JoAnn’s site. Renamed on the Yarnspirations site.

This pattern is not in Ravelry. Also, pattern states that you should join the squares according to the diagram - and there is no diagram. Oops.

One skein will make 6 (six) 10” wide squares.

My colors are
A = Almond
B = Deep Sea
C = Burgundy Plum

10 color C blocks completed.

Correction. One skein will make 7 squares with about 14 inches left over.

7 color B blocks completed.

Finished with B & C blocks.

09-13-2020

7.5 color A blocks completed. The A yarn made more squares per skein than the others. Hmm. 7.5 squares was one whole ball.

All the blocks are completed. Time to join!

09-20-2020

Joined using the flat zipper method - it needs to be tugged into shape a little but everything is joined, using the almond yarn.

The almond seems to be a little bit thinner than the burgundy and the green - I really had to pull the light colored squares into shape to match the size of the others. I also used the almond to go all the way around, in dc, with 5 dcs in each ch 3 corner and two dcs straddling the zipper joins. I had enough yarn but it was a close thing!

I have completed a round of hdc in the green - and it’s as tall as the almond dc. Remember? I thought the light color was thinner! I put 3 hdcs in the 3rd dc in each corner.

Will do one final round of hdcs in the burgundy and that’ll be it. Photos coming.

One other note - Large tapestry eyed needle? Ha. Yarn doesn’t fit. Use a US-E/3.5mm hook to thread the ends through the worked stitches.

Completed! Finished size was 66”x56”, so nice generous size. Not a lot of yarn left over - I’d say Almond has about a baseball-sized smooshy ball, and Burgundy and Green a little larger than softball-sized smooshy ball left over. Not a whole lot!! Definitely not enough to make another block of each. Photo color without flash closer to true colors. Border added about three inches all the way around.

It’s VERY warm. Will make a nice cuddle throw.
