All I’ve been knitting is baby stuff, and I needed #1 a break and #2 lunchtime knitting.

I’m also wondering why there aren’t a lot of projects with this yarn? Hmm.

Re-charted design for 72 sts, as I have big feet. Also, used Judy’s Magic Cast-On instead of the waste yarn tube/grafting toe.

I’m really loving the ChiaoGoo Lace US2 circ I’m using for the magic loop - nice and smooth!

Tried on the sock 8 rows into the Crystal Heel, and the applied i-cord is way too tight for my calf. Will pick that out and probably bind off the twisted k1 p1 ribbing with either the Super Stretchy Bind Off or a sewn bind off. Tossed Crystal Heel idea.

Construction changes:

Afterthought heel waste yarn sts = 48, pick up 96, add 4. Will still take it down to 10 sts:

Row 2: decrease at the end of ndls I and III (k2tog) and at the beginning of II and IV (k2tbl). (ML: Dec at both ends of the side every other row) (4 dec per dec row)
Row 3: K.
Rpt rows 2 and 3 10 times in total, until you have 15 sts remaining on each ndl. (ML: 30 sts per side rem)
Rpt row 2 10 more times until you have 5 sts on each ndl. (ML: 10 sts per side rem)
Graft heel using Kitchener stitch.

Used Jeny’s extra stretchy bind off on cuff.
