Changed to a larger hook after the first repeat - it was coming out way too tight.

Sooo… as it turned out, I figured out how to turn a triangular shawl into a swan-shaped one. Just pick a row at around the half-way point and accidentally add 20% extra stitches!

Yeah….. :-P

Fortunately it’s symmetrical and still looks great, so I’m just going to call it a design feature! But I’m very impressed that it took me until actually blocking it to notice! Instead of doing sc1 sk2 dc5-in-1 sk2 sc1 for row 29 I decided to only skip 1 each time!

As if that wasn’t enough, I discovered that I forgot to do rows 8-15 on the second repeat as I misremembered and thought only the charts for rows 16-32 were repeated.

So in the end I think I did 1-32, 16-32, 8-16… at which point each row used up ~12g and I realized I only had enough yarn for another 4’ish rows, so there was no way I was going to make it to row 28, and I should just add the border now!

Of course that means you can’t use my yarn-usage for anything, as my second, out-of-order repeat used up a LOT more yarn than the first one.
