Pattern is very easy to follow. Fun to make. I may gift this to a friend.
Notes 4/2022: I copied margeesue modifications below for arms and legs and will do this on my next one. I wish I had seen this before finishing mine.
For the hat , I did 3 more rows, gathered up remain 10sts and knotted the end. It was easier to knot the end.
I had trouble knotting the arms and legs, I will rip back the bind off and draw up the remaining stitches and then try to knot them. I added 10 extra rows for the legs and 8 rows for the arms.
I also made French knots for eyes and nose. For mouth, I just did straight stitching. Super cute.
Modifications:knit an extra three rows on each leg and arm, then decreased once more and pulled the yarn through, rather than doing a three needle bind off. Made the knots easier and the hands and feet cuter. Also picked up two stitched under each arm, then knit them together ( one per side) to help close up the hole. Made the skirt one row longer, on the row with five knit stitches.
5-22: I am making the girl Knubbelchen and made her 1st leg 16 rows longer about 2”, in order to knot the end. I just gathered up the 8sts and pulled the knot/yarn through.
